Kongsberg Automotive’s Fluid Transfer business has been awarded a supply award for brake assemblies from one of the largest passenger car manufacturers in the world. The contract has an estimated total value of EUR 26 million over its duration.

KA will manufacturer these technical assemblies in its facility in Wuxi, China, for supply to vehicles in the Asian and North American markets. Production under the contract is scheduled to start in 2018.

“Our ability to offer technical brake assemblies from our manufacturing facility in China was key to convincing this global manufacturer that KA was the right partner for this exciting high volume platform. We will continue to globalize the entire range of Fluid Transfer System products and take advantage of our manufacturing footprint to deliver value and service in growth markets,” said Jonathan Day, EVP for KA’s Fluid Transfer Systems business area.
