Kongsberg Automotive’s Fluid Transfer business area has been awarded new business to supply fuel hose assemblies to a leading manufacturer in the premium SUV segment, worth 15 million euros (NOK125 million) over its six year duration.

Production under the contract will commence in 2016 at Kongsberg Automotive’s recently expanded Normanton facility, in the North of England.

“Kongsberg Automotive is well positioned to share growth opportunities with the customer, which is the fastest growing maker of premium SUVs,” said David Redfearn, Vice President of Sales for Kongsberg Automotive’s Fluid Transfer business. “This is fantastic news for our facility in Normanton and shows the value of having integrated processes in the demanding segment of fuel distribution. We control the extrusion and forming process to ensure our customer gets state of the art technology with local engineering and sales support to ensure excellent program delivery,” Redfearn added.
