Kongsberg Automotive (KA) has won new contracts with two of Europe's largest manufacturers of Trucks and Busses to deliver composite coupling technology and fuel and airline assemblies. The contracts have a combined value of about EUR 10 million (NOK 74 million) over their duration, and production commences already in 2013.

These three new business awards cover KA’s ABC composite coupling technology in addition to fuel and air line assemblies manufactured within our European facilities. Couplings will be produced in Raufoss Norway, and fuel and airline assemblies will be manufactured at KAs facilities in Epila, Spain. The unique ABC coupling system offers reduced assembly time, reduced weight and fewer variants as a benefit to the vehicle OEM.

"During 2012 we have had our most successful year with regards to booking new business in the Commercial Vehicle Sector. These new contracts show the value of innovation in our unique ABC coupling range and the flexibility that we can offer with our air and fuel hose assemblies for the new Euro 6 emission regulations" said David Redfearn, Global Sales Director, Fluid Transfer, at Kongsberg Automotive.
