Kongsberg Automotive (KA) has received an award from a major European OEM for the supply of a shift tower system. The shift tower is part of the gear shift linkage between the driver and the gearbox and will be used in B Segment cars, sold in South America.

The contract has a total value of 37 MEUR over 5 years with possible extension. Production supply will start in the second half of 2015 out of our facility in Jundiai in Brazil.

“Nomination for this advanced mechanical system is a clear demonstration of our growing capabilities in the BRIC countries and showing the importance and strength of our global footprint. It is also demonstrating our capability to continue to secure business with our key customers”, says Joachim Magnusson, Executive Vice President for KA Driveline.
