Kongsberg Automotive (KA) was first established in Binola, India in 2007 as a joint venture with Technico Industries. In 2010, Kongsberg Automotive bought 100% stake and became a fully owned KA entity.
KA established a second plant in Chakan (near Pune, India) in 2008 and in 2016, both the plants were merged into a single location in Palwal. We have now relocated to a new facility in Faridabad in April 2025.
The facility houses capabilities such as plastic injection molding, braiding machines, welding (MIG, ultrasonic), riveting, pressing, and dedicated assembly lines to manufacture the entire product range. It achieves a localization level of nearly 85%, delivering value to KA’s local customers in India.
