“I was lucky to join Kongsberg Automotive as a trainee, and have had very supportive managers. They did develop me through various positions to the quality engineer position in the interior systems plant in Pruszkow, Poland. The team I was working with taught me a lot and had a great impact on my development.“
This was a very interesting period of my life. I was challenged all the time. I learned a lot, was part of a great team and excelled both as a person and an employee. I am very thankful for getting this opportunity, Iwona tells.
In 2010 Iwona was given the opportunity to head out and join Kongsberg Automotive’s driveline plant in Cluses, France. “I was told I was a bird ready to fly, and so I did. It was a big move for me – from being a student to become a complete employee. I had to step outside my comfort zone, but got very good support from Kongsberg Automotive in this transition. In hindsight I clearly see this was the right choice for me”, she tells.
Iwona started out as a development quality engineer at the plant in Cluses, and was in September 2013 promoted to program manager at Kongsberg Automotive’s site in Paris, France. Today she is managing around 10 people, and enjoys her work very much.
When not at work, Iwona likes hiking and skiing. She also likes contemporary dance. Iwona handles four languages; Polish, English, German and French.
Everywhere I go in Kongsberg Automotive, I meet passionate, prepared and smiling people. I like the dynamics of my job and that it combines many different elements
